Are you writing your essays or academic papers using an AI tool?
If so, you might want to humanize your work before submitting it.
Luckily, an AI humanizer tool can help you humanize your essays and papers in a breeze.
But how do we exactly use a text humanizer to humanize our text?
This compact article will guide you to using an AI humanizer to humanize your work- and remove its AI detection effectively.
How to use a text humanizer to remove AI detection
Using a text humanizer is fairly easy as most AI humanizing tools are made with intuitive designs and user-friendly interfaces.
Here are simple steps to using an AI humanizer:
1. Decide on which AI humanizer to use
To get started, you need to decide which AI humanizer you are going to use.
There are many AI humanizers available online. However, you only need to use one good humanizer for all of your work.
If you are not sure which humanizer to use, here are some tips for finding a good one.
Tips for choosing a good AI humanizer:
- The tool offers considerable word count
- The tool is easy to use
- The tool does not compromise writing quality
- The tool works fast
- The tool works with multiple input/output methods
Keep these criterias in mind and you can find a good humanizer to work with.
For me, I will be using our Paraphrasing-Tool.ai’s humanizer.
After deciding on which AI humanizer to use, we can move onto our next step.
2. Decide which parts of your text to humanize
Before you begin working with a humanizer, it’s a good idea to know which parts of your text need to be humanized.
Because, you don’t have to humanize entire essays—unless they are entirely AI-written.
But if your content is not entirely AI-written, how do you know which parts of your text you need to humanize?
A simple way to find this out is by using an AI detection tool. An AI detection tool lets you scan your work and identify the parts that resemble AI’s writing style.
There are many AI detection tools out there. However, I will use GPTZero for my testing.
After selecting the AI detection tool, input and scan your text in the tool for AI detection. It will highlight the parts that need humanization.
To demonstrate, I asked ChatGPT to write me an article. Then I used GPTZero to scan the article for AI detection:
The article ChatGPT wrote is detected as 100% AI-written, so the tool highlighted every line of the text.
Similarly, you can scan your documents and check which parts of your work resemble AI’s writing the most.
After knowing which parts of our texts to humanize, we can move onto the next step.
3. Visit the humanizer tool
In this step, we will visit the website that provides us the humanizer tool.
Simply, google the desired humanizer tool, scroll through the results, and click on its link.
If you are using Paraphrasing-Tool’s AI humanizer, then here is a direct link to the tool:
You can also search for the tool by typing: “Paraphrasing-Tool.ai,” (pronounced as paraphrasing dash tool dot AI).
Some AI tool websites might require you to navigate to the humanizer tool, which should be easy in most cases.
After visiting the website, we can move onto our next step.
4. Input your text
Inputting means giving a computer program the required material — such as data, or text in our case — to process.
In this step, you need to copy your text, or parts of your text, into the tool.
This is easy to do. Just follow these steps:
- Open the file containing your work.
- Copy the required parts (paragraphs/sentences).
- Paste the works in the input field of the humanizer tool.
If you’re using Paraphrasing-Tool.ai, its input field appears on the left of the screen as shown below:
As for input the methods, most humanizer tools offer three input methods to make the input procedure convenient, such as:
- Typing: You can type your input in real time.
- Copying & pasting: Select your text then copy & paste it using a mouse or a keyboard, or by tapping if you are on a mobile device.
- Uploading document: You can directly upload a file containing the text.
So, aside from pasting your input text, you can type it manually or upload a file it is contained in.
After inputting your text, we can move onto our next step.
5. Click to humanize
Next, you have to locate and click on the humanize button that will prompt the tool to start working on your input text.
The name of the button can vary depending on the tool you are using.
If you are using Paraphrasing-Tool.ai, the humanize button text reads “Humanize AI,” and is located in the middle — between & below the input and output fields — of the screen.
On some tools, you might need to scroll down a bit to find this button.
On clicking the button, some tools ask you to clear a small captcha test. Make sure to clear it correctly.
After clicking the button, the tool will start to work and generate the output.
While most AI humanizers only take a few seconds to generate the output, some tools can take up to one minute to get the job done, so you might have to wait a little bit before you can move onto your next step, which is as follows:
6. Get the output
Our next step is to copy the output.
Output is the result that a computer program gives you in turn for an input.
Shortly after clicking the humanize button, the AI humanizer should finish working on the input text and present the results in the output field.
From there, you can copy the output in your preferred method.
Most AI tools facilitate users by offering them different ways to copy the output, such as:
- Copying & pasting: You can select the output text and copy it to your document manually using a mouse or a keyboard.
- Using the Copy button: You can automatically copy the output text to your document using the built-in Copy button, which is available on most of the AI tools.
- Download the output: Many AI humanizers offer the ability to download the output text in different formats, such as text or pdf.
If you are using Paraphrasing-Tool, it gives you all of these options. So, you can copy the output as you want.
After taking the output text, we can move on to last our next step.
7. Check for AI detection
Our last step to humanizing AI text involves checking our output results.
Checking for AI detection is crucial because we want to make sure our text has been humanized properly.
So, proceed and check the output results using an AI detection tool.
I checked my output copy using GPTZero, and here are the results:
According to GPTZero, the ChatGPT content that was previously detected as 100% AI-written, is now 79% likely a work of humans, which means our content is humanized to a good degree.
Note:
Sometimes, AI humanizers may not fairly humanize your text, or the AI detection tool may consider even a fully human-written (or humanized) text as AI-written due to reasons such as rapid advancement of generative AI technology, which aims to generate more human-like text. With this advancement, AI detection will also become hard to bypass. So, you may need to edit your content manually to humanize it wholly.
So, this is how we use a text humanizer to humanize AI content effectively.
Conclusion
In this article, we learned how to use an AI humanizer effectively and remove AI detection from text.
AI detection can be challenging to bypass, so consider using a good humanizer to assist yourself.
